The HR150U works with all rotating lasers, including the Spectra Precision Laser HV301G Green Beam laser. Now one high featured, economically priced receiver is available to work with any Green, Red or IR rotating laser.

Features and Operations

The HR150U is a reliable new generation, state-of-the-art receiver designed as a universal receiver that can be used with either red, IR, or green rotating lasers.

The receiver “reads” the laser signal as it is transmitted in a 360° plane from the transmitter. A single bank of photocells located on the front of the receiver detects the laser beam. If the receiver is in the ON condition for more than 30 minutes without detecting any laser beam strikes on the photocell, the receiver automatically turns off. The received laser signal indicates the laser elevation using two LED displays, one mounted on the front and one on the rear, which work with synchronous audible tones. The audio is emitted from an audio port on the receiver’s front panel. A power button turns the receiver on or off. The receiver always starts up with the audio in the ON condition. A loudspeaker symbol indicates that audio is turned on when the unit is turned on or when the beam strikes the photocell. Pressing and holding the Power button for 2 seconds turns off the receiver. The unit’s grade sensitivity is 3 mm (1/8 in).

The LED on the rear panel indicates the position of the receiver relative to the laser beam and corresponds to the front LED display. When the transmitter is moved, the receiver must be moved to the line of the beam to resume operations.

Marking notches etched on the side of the housing are about 2 inches (50 mm) from the top and align with the on-grade portion of the photocell. The notches are used to mark elevation readings.

The HR150U receiver is powered by two AA alkaline, NiMH, or Ni-Cd batteries installed behind a battery door on the back of the unit. The user must provide their own charger when Ni-Cd or NiMH batteries are used. Both red LEDs flashing in sequence indicates the condition of battery life. A general-purpose clamp that snaps into the unit attaches the unit to the grade rod
